There are many leadership styles out there - like shades of lipstick:

- Lipstick Leadership focusing on empowering and inspiring more women for bold, future-focused leadership - YOU.
Each leadership style has its benefits and advantages; you can decide what works best for you for each situation. Sometimes, we have to be more direct and bolder when delivering a tough message in challenging situations; or we can be a bit more focused on coaching when we develop others for their leadership growth.
Lipstick Leadership is based on lifelong learning but also focusing on empowering and inspiring others who dare to lead with “the future is female” in mind.
When I introduce the concept of Lipstick Leadership, I get a lot of smiles and grins as in saying: “this is really cute.” Now, when adding the numbers to the lipstick and beauty industry these smiles fade and soon change into a big AHA moment. It’s important to talk in numbers when convincing others!

The beauty industry is a 500Bio$ industry globally and only growing! Yes, it’s a big number. And all people use beauty products; it’s not only makeup: it includes essential household staples like toothpaste or hand cream, and obviously lipstick. Lipstick is an important element when working virtually: Lipstick is a symbol of showing up, speaking up, and owning your space with courage, grace, and excellence.
This week, I was invited to give a talk for a female leadership program where we were talking about building bridges for networking. It’s about #learning #listening #leading – and it does not happen overnight.
As a fact, women in Switzerland were only allowed to vote as of 1971. This seems like yesterday when they gained a voice. In today’s world it’s important to have a voice and dare to speak up.
