Let’s start to think of how you can make your network bigger and more powerful.
Essentially, networking is key to learning and growing. Networking is key in developing relationships, trust, and commitment to others. Networking should not only start when you are in dire need of a new job. “I will do it later; I don’t have the time today” is not really helpful.
Here is an activity that can help you start to think of whom you would like to meet:
Think of six people whom you would like to meet; you can think of inviting them for a nice luncheon.

Instructions:
1. Pick a person whom you like to meet. Preferably these are people who are with us and potentially in your reach. (I am happy to attend a luncheon with you!)
2. Think of who your role models are, who are you following, who makes an impression on you? (it can be someone on a TED Talk – think BIG)
3. Think BIG – your friends are your friends you spend time together all the time. Think BIG
4. a. Why would you like to meet that person?
b. What questions would you have for that person?
c. What is your anticipated outcome?
This is a fun activity to do alone or in a group (happy to help out and brain stimulate!)
If you need some inspiration of whom to meet, get a copy of “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership” where you find stories from wonderful empowering and inspiring women from around the world.
Note to self: ChatGPT can only help so much. You know whom you like to meet and talk to. Take the time to make it special.
