The whole month of May is dedicated to “Mental Health” – this is especially important as we know that loneliness in the workplace is imminent – loneliness can be compared to smoking fifteen cigarettes per day?

I can only stress that we are in full agreement that everybody in sports has a coach but why not in business or in life? Sport’s coaching is where we see how they are training your mental strengths for stressful situations. Life can be equally stressful.
Invest in yourself, now – there are many offerings with bots or AI to help answer a few questions. However, the real coaching is happening when we can go deeper and spend more time learning about the client.
Some great questions that you can answer by yourself?
1. What are your goals?
2. What is your current reality?
3. What are your options?
4. How willing are you to change something?
In my opinion, the first three questions are somewhat easy to answer, but then how willing are you to change will be much easier to answer by yourself.
1. What are your goals? Are these related to your professional goals or to your personal goals? Writing down can help.
a. Add another question: where do you see yourself in the next three to five years? Make a list of possible scenarios.
2. What is your current reality?
a. Are you happy with where you are now?
b. What would you like to change?
3. What are your options? There are always options or opportunities. However, you are the driver of this. In tennis you do not wait until it’s too late to return the ball. You are proactive and think of the next few steps.
There are always parallels that you can use from sports. Mental health is crucial when focusing on the next step. It’s always one step at a time, one day at the time taking the next step into the right direction forward. Happy to be with you on your next steps.
