In the last few weeks of August, it’s about getting ready for the last months of the year. School is starting and employees are starting to be more productive within organizations. It’s the last quarter of the year where much has to be accomplished.
My question and query are always: Why couldn’t we do more work in January or February of a new year rather than scramble in the last few months? September feels like January!!
OK, then we should get ready and be ready for the upcoming months:
1. My book “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership” is in the production
2. My book “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership” will come out in September
3. My book launch for “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership” is ready for September 20 in New York with a few of the guests depicted in the book
4. My Swiss book launch for “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership” is in preparation for January 17 in 2025.
The book (link for pre-order will come shortly) “50 shades of Lipstick Leadership” is a compilation of 50 stories from empowering and inspiring women based on my podcast episodes from “Take it from the Ironwoman.”
If you have been following my podcasting journey, you might have listened to a few of the many of the 400+ episodes. As a next step I have had the vision to use those impressive stories to turn them into a book- Voilà. Done! This has been a long process but a fun process.
My vision is to create lifelong learning opportunities for all. It’s about:
Learning, Listening, Leading
Lifelong Learning has many facets of Learning – it can also be laughter, light, love, looks, life, lessons, and much more.

Book will be out shortly - check for more updates

LEARNING
“If you’re sad, add more lipstick and attack.”
- Coco Chanel, French designer, businesswoman
The hunger for learning never stops, at least not for me. I always enjoyed going to school and discovering new things. While subjects like math, biology, and chemistry didn't always motivate me as much, I found my favorites in languages, geography, and humanities.
Later in life, when I returned to college, I challenged myself by taking classes in the sciences. It all started to make sense – why some concepts take years to fully grasp.
I believe the quality of the teacher is crucial. A teacher can either ignite passion or dampen interest in a subject. When a teacher is inspiring and serves as a role model, learning becomes significantly easier.
Initially, we learn to read, and then it shifts to reading to learn.
In the upcoming lessons on learning, we'll explore stories about education and leadership, as well as how education can intersect with business. Education is the cornerstone of both learning and life itself.
Podcast guest of this week:
Ep. 438 - Malissa Smith - The Promise of Women’s Boxing
